is a Western Australian company specialising in the manufacture
of quality automotive protection products.
The Shevron Dash MATE®, Seat Covers, Window RAP™,
Window SOX® and Floor Mats are all designed specifically
for use in Australia's extreme conditions.
New cars and older cars can both benefit, whether it be
to protect the existing upholstery, or to rejuvenate an
old and worn interior. By protecting your vehicle's interior
you are also protecting your investment and ensuring you
get the best possible re-sale price if and when you decide
to sell.
Shevron is a West Australian company, a family owned and
managed business.
The company was formed in August of 1987, manufacturing
seat covers and operating as a distributor and agent for
several products, including a large range of moulded dash
mats. In March of 1990, with continual requests for a dash
mat product more suited to Australian conditions, Shevron
began manufacturing their own unique style of dash mat with
a higher success rate.
A UV stabilised 6mm auto/marine carpet was selected as
most resistant to fading and distortion.
The mats were cut and sewn, not moulded, to the shape of
the dash, and tailored to suit each individual vehicle.
Today Shevron caters for over 650 different vehicles, and
each mat is guaranteed against fading and distortion.

During September 1995 the decision was made to pursue new
material to further improve our product. After months of
testing we were satisfied with a product called "Ultimat",
which we now press or vacuum form the shape required.
The development of Shevron represents a growing demand
for quality, long-lasting car accessory products by consumers.
The company has grown rapidly from its humble beginnings
where all mats were hand cut and staff totalled three employees.
Shevron now boasts two computerised cutting machines, and
the staff has risen to thirty-four employees. Orders are
processed using a computer program written uniquely for
Shevron, which tracks all stock and manufacturing requirements
by way of the EAN barcode system.
The Window SOX® business was purchased in February
of 2000 and new equipment and staff added. Production has
now increased 10 fold to cater for demand.
Manufacturing techniques are under constant review to ensure
the customer is always getting the best possible product
quality and fastest service - two very important aims of
the company.
The factory was relocated to larger premises in February
1992 and then again in April 2001 to accommodate the increase
in machinery and shelf stock.
The Window RAP™ was developed in May 2003 which compliments
the Window SOX® and protects rear seat passengers and
vehicle interior from the harsh sun.
